Lombard's own Gia Dagenhart is a budding singer-songwriter whose songs showcase poetic snapshots, dynamic vocals, and sophisticated themes. On stage, her natural confidence, warmth, and wit engage audiences and leave them buzzing.   Lilli Kuzma, host of "Folk Festival" on WDCB Public Radio, chose Gia to be her Folk Alliance Region Midwest DJ Showcase Artist in 2025. This opportunity sparked Dagenhart to record a seven-song debut EP, Artifact, which has received airplay on national college and folk radio stations. Artifact reflects the spirit of her live performances.      Growing up, Gia regularly attended intimate folk concerts. Inspired by artists Harpeth Rising, Emily White, Sons of the Never Wrong, Heather Styka, and Hadestown creator, Anaïs Mitchell, Dagenhart has been writing and performing since her teens. In 2026, she earned a B.A. in Music at Lawrence University (Appleton, WI).   In 2025, Gia lit up a packed room at the Two Way Street Coffee House in Downers Grove, IL—the same venue where her late father, Bryan Dagenhart, still holds the record for most performances—forty-five. Incidentally, he’s the founder of the Maple Street Concert Series. Gia returns to our stage having opened for Edie Carey in 2024. This will be her hometown EP release show. https://giadagenhart.com/

HEATHER STYKA- A Kerrville New Folk Finalist and award-winning songwriter with a #3 album on the FOLK-DJ charts, Chicago artist Heather Styka writes lyrics-forward songs that “make you feel as if you are peeking into her diary” (No Depression) with a “talent for telling stories and connecting emotionally” (Glide Magazine). Styka spent a decade touring coast-to-coast and has performed at Chicago rooms such as the Old Town School of Folk Music and City Winery, yet her performances remain as intimate and candid as a late-night conversation, peppered with humor, confession, and a disarming honesty. Armed with a guileless, unvarnished delivery, she’s equal parts wordsmith and entertainer.

Styka’s most recent release has expanded her sound as the creative force behind SELKEN, her bummer pop/indie rock project. Teaming up with producer and multi-instrumentalist JG Shadid, she crafted SELKEN's The Winds, an album that pairs Styka’s two decades of song craft with shimmering synths, ambient textures, and a groove-forward pulse. Rooted in vintage pop and alt-country, SELKEN marks a bold evolution—holding onto the emotional core of Styka’s songwriting while embracing a sound that’s expansive, cathartic, and alive with change.
